There are a lot of things I've done in my life, and afterwards ask myself why. This story is about one of those times. The Grand and Thompson Rivers have always called to the young men around Chillicothe. Bring your fishing pole, swimsuit or not, boat, or “just come see me”, it cries out.

Kindergarteners at Dewey Elementary School played outside in pleasant coat-weather conditions on Thursday afternoon, enjoying some sliding, swinging, running, and ball games during recess. High temperatures reached into the mid-50s yesterday (54 degrees). It is the fourth time since Sunday that the temperature in Chillicothe has reached above 40 degrees — somewhat of a January winter anomaly.
CAMERON — The Chillicothe High School basketball Hornets have had a fine turnaround season in 2011-12, but know they could be several more than two games over .500 at this juncture if they could find a way to put together four solid quarters each game.
