McKensie Garber, the 17-year-old daughter of Ron and Denise Garber of Hale,?Mo., was recently crowned Miss Missouri Outstanding Teen 2011.


McKensie Garber, the 17-year-old daughter of Ron and Denise Garber of Hale,?Mo., was recently crowned Miss Missouri Outstanding Teen 2011.

During the pageant, she performed a music theater dance to “I Can Hear the Bells” from Hairspray and won a preliminary award in Lifestyle and Fitness in Activewear.

She will share her platform of “Promoting Good Character Among Americans” across the state of Missouri this year, as well as act as an ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

McKensie will be a senior at Hale R-1 this year. She has been involved in dance at Ballet Arts for 14 years. She is involved in FBLA, FCCLA, 4-H, Cheerleading, Track, Dance Squad, and Student Council.

She would like to give a special thanks to Clark's Furniture, Woody’s Automotive Group, Lauhoff Jewerly, Bailey's Studio, Joram and Clarissa Miller, for supporting her on her journey to the state title.

McKensie will go on to compete in the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Pageant in Orlando, Fla., this August.
