  • This summer, from June 2 through July 21, the Columbian Squires Catholic youth organization and KULH Radio 105.9 The Wave will partner to offer an adult no-contact football league in Chillicothe.
The league will be open to both men and women ages 15 years and older.   Teams must have at least five players on their roster and may have up to eight.  All players will get a team T-shirt to wear during games.
A “no contact” league means there will be no tackling or blocking; it is a pass-and-catch-only league. For more information and official rules, visit the league website at www.
    nocontactfootball.com.
The Chillicothe league will be limited to the first 12 teams to register, so those interested should get their team together and registered as soon as possible, encourage organizers. Teams must register by May 21.
The registration fee is $80 per team or $100 if you want your team name or a sponsor on the back of your team shirts.
Registration forms can be picked up at the office of The Wave at 802 Calhoun, just west of the Calhoun-Washington streets intersection on the south side of Calhoun, during normal business hours Monday through Friday.
They also can be downloaded from the website www.nocontactfootball.com.
Games, which usually last between 15-25 minutes each, will be played on Saturday mornings between 8 and 11:30 a.m. Teams will play one to two games each Saturday morning.
