    Looking to avoid a double-digits

    losing streak, the Chillicothe High

    School’s baseball Hornets played

perhaps their best game of April

    Saturday. Unfortunately for the

    Hornets, even

    that could neither

    prevent

    winless streak

    from continuing

    nor deny

    the Maryville

    Spoofhounds

    the championship

    of the

    2-day Hornets

    Classic tournament.

    Playing errorless defense on the

heels of a lifeless, 9-miscue showing

in their previous contest, the Hornets

    got capable, 5-hit pitching from

the combination of Guy Vinson and

    Troy Toedebusch and collected six

    hits themselves, but couldn’t bunch

    anything together offensively,while

    Maryville did once.
