Almost 300 second and third grade students at Field School enjoyed their first assembly of the year with a "Salute to Scotland," presented by the Chillicothe Area Arts Council. The program was also presented to approximately 90 Chillicothe High School band students and for a cultural luncheon attended by 82 persons. Livingston County Library's children's librarian Judith Shoot read a Scottish folktale and was accompanied by flutist Nancy Mitchell of Chillicothe, who played Celtic music. St. Joseph bagpiper Roger Heard performed and explained the bagpipe's history and mechanics. He also shared information about the traditional Scottish kilt and the uniform's traditional accessories.
