  • Nathaniel (Nate) Eugene Trager, 35, of Brighton, Mo., died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012.

  • Nathaniel (Nate) Eugene Trager, 35, of Brighton, Mo., died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012. He was born Aug. 10, 1977 in Staunton, Ill. He graduated from Pleasant Hope High School in 1996 and went on to Vatterott College and received his degree in business. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing, floating and deer hunting. Every year he looked forward to his “guys” weekend of deer hunting with his dad, brothers and grandpa. He had a passion for gas engines and tractors, restoring and showing them at Republic Steam Show. Nate attended North Point Church. His prize possessions were his red Dodge pickup, his pug, Mercedes, and his new Cub tractor. Mr. Trager was preceded in death by his little brother, Shawn Trager; grandfathers, Robert Trager and Raymond Bowyer; grandparents, John and Este Crowe; and cousin, Michael Daly. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Monica and Bob Bernstein, of Brighton; father and stepmother, Matthew and Cindi Trager of Chillicothe; siblings, Aaron Trager and wife Stephanie of Hamilton, Mo., Angel Dennis and husband Josh of Chillicothe, Mo., Audrea Serven and husband Jeff of Prairie Village, Kan., Amber Trager of Kansas City, and Randy Hapes, of Chillicothe, Mo.; grandparents, Donald and Lois Prewitt, of Brighton, Mo., Ruth Trager of Chillicothe, Mo., and Lucille Bowyer of Meadville, Mo.; uncles, Steve Prewitt and wife Gail of Buffalo, Mo., and Nelson Prewitt and wife Tina of Brighton; numerous other nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 in Robberson Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, in the home of Nelson Prewitt.
