Clinton Dale Christy, a resident of Avondale, Mo., formerly of Browning, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at NKC Hospital.

Clinton was born to Jay and Dorothy Christy on Dec. 16, 1943, in Milan, Mo. On Feb. 25, 1972, he married Karolee Rice in Kansas City.

Clinton was a 1961 graduate of Liberty High School, Browning, Mo., and was a member of the Browning Baptist Church. He served in the US Army from 1961-1977. Clinton worked for St. Regis Bag Co. for 35 years. He enjoyed car racing, visiting with friends and relatives, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Karolee of Avondale; two sons, Lyle Flanery of Avondale and Clint (Kristi) of Chillicothe; two grandchildren, Annsley and Kirkland Christy; his mother, Dorothy Christy of Chillicothe; three brothers, Marvin Christy (Mary) of Cassville, Roy Christy of OP, Kan., and Eldon Christy (Lisa) of Chillicothe; three sisters, Evelyn Graham (Bob) of Trenton, Francis Nickell (Kenny Ray) of Browning, and Carol Bennett (Charles) of Excelsior Springs; two brothers-in-law, Bob Rice (Beverly) of KC and Dale Rice (Debbie) of KC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jay, and brothers, James and David.

Services are set for 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at White Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home Tuesday. Burial will be at Mt. Moriah Terr. Park Cemetery, KC, Mo.
