The October meeting of the Grand River Historical Society board of directors will be at the Chillicothe Elks Club on Tuesday Oct. 9, beginning with dinner at 6:30 p.m.
This is the quarterly meeting open to the public. The program is "An evening with Bob Christison."
Christison was born in Livingston County and has lived in the Chillicothe area virtually all his life. He has been a businessman and farmer in Livingston County for more than 70 years. He will be talk about the changes which have occurred during his lifetime, especially in the farming profession.
"Bob describes himself as a story teller, not a speaker, and we are looking forward to hearing his stories," said Ron Wilder, vice president of the Grand River Historical Society. "You will also have an opportunity to ask questions of Bob so have them ready."
The dinner of southern fried pork chops along with drinks and sides will be catered by Jeff Frampton at a cost of $7. To make reservations, call the museum at 646-1341 or Ron Wilder at 646-0502.
