St. Joseph Symphony Trio
The Symphony Trio consists of three outstanding musicians: Rico McNeela, violinist, who is director of orchestral activities at Missouri Western St. University as well as conductor for the St. Joseph Symphony; James Kew, cellist, who has been principal cellist with various symphonies and has appeared in the orchestra for musicians as diverse as Jimmy Page and Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), Smokey Robinson and jazz artist, Chris Brubeck; and Anthony Glise, guitarist, the only American-born guitarist to win First Prize at the International Toscanini Competition in Italy, and who has performed critically acclaimed concerts at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center (US); Vienna International Center (Austria) and across Europe.
"We know we have many classical music fans in our area, but even if a person is not a huge fan of classical music, we think this concert is worth hearing," said Julie Ashbrook, administrator of the Chillicothe Area Arts Council. "These musicians are exceptional, and know how to connect with an audience. We hope people will bring their children and expose them to this wonderful music."
Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children.
