Myrna Shaw, 98, a resident of Chillicothe, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at The Baptist Home, Chillicothe.
Myrna was born the daughter of James and Arvella (Heath) Decker on Feb. 2, 1914, in Carroll County, Mo. She was united in marriage to Albert Shaw on July 11, 1953, in Chillicothe, Mo. He survives of the home.
During World War II, Myrna worked for a company that assembled communications equipment for airplanes. She later worked for the Boss Glove Factory in Chillicothe for more than ten years. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Chillicothe, the Happy Hollow Club, and the Canasta Club.
Survivors include, three nieces, Audrey Bragg and husband Clark, of Denver, Colo., Marcella Baker and husband Howard, of Hale, Mo., Harriett Sappington and husband Bob, of Columbia, Mo.; two great-nieces, Marci Moritz and husband Lee, of Tina, Mo., Lynnette Ritter and husband Kevin, of Chesapeake, Va.; two nephews, Phillip Green and wife Linda, of Jefferson City, Mo., Keith Green and wife Claudia, of Germany; and several great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Tressie Wooden and Mamie Daniels; and one brother, Raymond Decker.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo., on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. There will be a scheduled family visitation held on Friday, one hour prior to the service, from 10 until 11 a.m. Friends may call the funeral home on Thursday Oct. 11, 2012, from 12 noon until 9 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Chillicothe, Mo.
