The Chillicothe Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will meet at 5:15 p.m. Monday at City Hall.
Agenda items include discussion about U.S. Highway 65, and an update for the city's new water park plan, Chilli Bay.
The city received bids for installing a guard rail along the highway and adjacent to Simpson Park. One bid was received in the amount of $26,000, which is more than what was budgeted. Alternatives will pursued.
The board is also expected to discuss plans for the new water park. Bids for the project are due Thursday, Oct. 18. A special meeting of the Chillicothe City Council is planned for Monday, Oct. 22, to consider bids for the project.
The Parks and Recreation Board on Monday also plans to address the future use of the archway during the Festival of Lights.
