Winners of the Stadium 2 Stadium 5K Walk/Run are pictured with the guest of honor, Dave Kinen, at the new stadium. The race involved running from Chillicothe High School's old stadium to the new stadium, and raised funds for ALS research. Kinen, a popular PE teacher and coach within the Chillicothe R-2 School District, was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lue Gehrig's Disease, in 2008. The event raised $3,900 for ALS research. The overall men's winner was Derek Wilson, with a time of 18:10 minutes and the women's overall winner was Marisa McCoy, finishing in 22:53. In the team events, CHS Softball was the first large team to finish while Kinen Caretakers were first in the small team division.
