Downtown Chillicothe will fill with ghosts, goblins and other characters as Main Street Chillicothe hosts the 12th annual BooFest tomorrow (Wednesday).

Nearly 70 businesses, organizations, churches and clubs have signed up to distribute goodies from 4 until 6 p.m. Hundreds of children participate in the event each year.

Once again, the Livingston County Library will be treating children with the gift of books, allowing youngsters to select one from dozens of titles, as long as supplies last. Books available will include board books, such as "1, 2, 3 To the Zoo", picture books, such as Llama Llama Misses Mama", chapter books, such as "I Survived the Attacks of September 11, 2001" and non-fiction books, such as "125 True Stories of Amazing Animals".
