E. Roberta (Berta) Summers, 66, a resident of Chillicothe, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at her residence.

Roberta was born the daughter of Glenn and Elsie (McCracken) Acree on Dec. 20, 1945, in Chillicothe, Mo. She married Ralph Summers on April 22, 1966, in Chillicothe. He survives of the home.

Roberta was the second of nine children. She graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1963. She resided in Chillicothe all her life. Roberta worked at the various glove factories, then she worked at Amoco food shop for Tom and Kathy Pfaff until her illness in 1995.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved crocheting; talking on the phone; watching Dancing with the Stars, Shark Tank, Nascar, Survivor, and the Food Channel.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Summers, of Chillicothe; her mother, Elsie Acree, of Chillicothe; one daughter Robyn Robitzsch, and husband Shawn, of Indianola, Iowa; two sons, Randy Summers, of Chillicothe, and Dan Summers, and fiancé Katie Mason, of Ann Arbor, Mich.; two granddaughters, Cassity and Sydney Summers. She is also survived by two sisters, Beth Sickeler, and husband Gene, of Chillicothe; Diane Nibarger, and husband Jerry, of Chillicothe; five brothers, Oral Paul, and wife Kathy, of Gallatin, Mo., Cliff Acree, and wife Debbie, of Chillicothe, Larry Acree of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Gary Acree and wife Vickie of Centralia, Mo., Jim Acree, and wife Sheila, of Chillicothe. Roberta had numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; one brother, Bruce Acree; and grandparents.

Services will be held on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at 10 a.m., at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo. There will be a family visitation on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, from 6 until 8 p.m., at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, from 12 noon until 9 p.m.

Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Mo.
