Susie Donzetta Perkins, 76, a resident of Chillicothe, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.

Susie was born the daughter of George (Frank) and Ruby F. (McKay) Huffstutter on Nov. 23, 1936, in Trenton, Mo. She married Walter E.

Perkins on March 5, 1955, in Trenton, Mo. He preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1988.

She was a 1952 graduate of Galt High School, Galt, Mo.

In 1959, Susie and Walter moved to Chillicothe, from Trenton, Mo. She worked as an aide and bus driver for Verelle Peniston State School for several years. She attended the Church of Christ, Trenton, Mo. Susie and Walter had many firework stands. Susie was an avid bingo player, and enjoyed traveling and camping. She was a self-taught musician, and enjoyed playing any instrument.

Survivors include one son, Lowell Perkins and wife Rena, Lock Springs, Mo.; one daughter, Patricia and Donald Warren, Wheeling, Mo.; two sisters, Judy Klinginsmith and husband George, Chillicothe, Mo., and Zella Whitney and husband Joe, Trenton, Mo.; brother-in-law, Eldon Cooksey, Trenton, Mo.; sister-in-law, Loree Huffstutter, Trenton, Mo.; three grandchildren, Luke Perkins and wife Tish, Lock Springs, Mo., Justin Perkins and Sara, Chillicothe, Mo., and Jared Perkins, Lock Springs, Mo.; three great grandchildren, Caleb, Liberty, and Ruger Perkins; longtime friend and companion, Jack Howe, Chillicothe, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Walter; five sisters, Rose Fellows, Thelma Hamilton, Irene Gagnon, Helen Huffstutter, and Ann Cooksey; four brothers, George, Jimmy, Bobby, and Harold Huffstutter.

Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo., on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at 10 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo., on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, from 12 until 9 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Trenton, Mo.
