Lincoln topped the 85th Academy Awards nominations with 12 on a short list rife with surprises.The Steven Spielberg drama will vie for Best Picture honors against Amour, Argo, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Django Unchained, Les Miserables, Life of Pi, Silver Linings Playbook and Zero Dark Thirty.Spielberg is up for Best Director against Michael Haneke (Amour), Ang Lee (Life of Pi), David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook), Benh Zeitlin (Beasts of the Southern Wild).
