The Chillicothe Fire Department received their newly-purchased ambulance chassis with box on Tuesday night (Jan. 8). The chassis is a 2012 Chevy model, and the back box is a 2013 Osage. It will be replacing a 2000 model in the CPD fleet, which currently has 201,178 miles on it. The new ambulance cost approximately $174,500, paid for from the Livingston County Ambulance District fund. Fire Chief Darrell Wright said that he expects the new ambulance to be up and running by next week, when Motorola finishes programing its radio system.
