The Livingston County Sheriff's Department recently began an investigation of a residential burglary on Liv 511, northwest of Chillicothe, where forced entry was made into the unoccupied home and a variety of firearms and sporting goods were stolen.
Among items reported stolen:
Browning 30-06 rifle, Hoyt Camo Compound bow with carbon arrows, Winchester .22 LR bolt action rifle, Winchester Model 12 shotgun, .50 caliber Traditions muzzle loader with 3x9x40 scope, .50 caliber Traditions muzzle loader Buck Stalker rifle with black colored synthetic stock, Remington 12 gauge shotgun, 303 British Rifle, .44 Marlin Lever Action rifle with Burris scope, H&R single shot 12 gauge shotgun, H&R 410 Wild Turkey Federation shotgun, Marlin 30-30 Lever Action rifle, 410 single shot shotgun, and Smith and Wesson .357 stainless steel handgun.
This is the second residence in the northwest portion of Livingston County to have recently been burglarized and firearms stolen, according to Sheriff Steve Cox.
"We are actively investigating both of the burglaries at this time and would greatly appreciate any and all tips," he said.
