Brittany Tutt, 20, of Dawn, was chosen as one of 12 winners in maurices' nationwide model search, and will be the face of maurices' Spring 2013 clothing line in over 830 stores across the country.

Brittany, along with the maurices crew of photographers and hair, makeup, and style teams, were at several iconic locations in Miami, Jan. 13 through Jan. 19, for her high-fashion photo shoot. Locations include The Biltmore Hotel, Crandon Park Beach, The Savoy Hotel, Ocean Drive, and Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.

Brittany attended Southwest Livingston High School, in Ludlow, graduating in 2010, and is now a senior at Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., expecting to graduate this December. She is studying integrated media, which involves journalism and film. She plays softball for Stephens. Her parents are Kim and Darrin Crowe. Her mom works at Lauhoff Jewelry, of Chillicothe, and her dad owns his own decorative concrete company, Crowe Concrete LLC.

"Being in Miami as a maurices Main Street model is one of the best experiences of my life," said Brittany. "I'm so fortunate and appreciative, because I know this doesn't happen to a lot of girls. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I feel very lucky and grateful that maurices selected me as one of the twelve models to represent their store when they had thousands to choose from. One of my favorite parts has been getting my hair and makeup done by professionals. I also get to wear cute clothes, hang out by the beach and pool, and get to go to dinner with Christopher Straub every night. I love getting to pose in front of the camera and get creative. It's a lot of fun and I truly feel famous. During the photoshoots there are tourists and locals taking pictures of us modeling because they think we're famous or something. It's great! It feels awesome to have people walk by and say, 'Oh my gosh! There's a model!'

"The entire maurices crew is so much fun to be around, and they make this experience even better. It's nice to have fun and joke around, but at the same time, get great pictures maurices can use in their advertising. The other girls here, Katie and Kelsie, are amazing and fun as well. I hope that other aspiring models know that it IS possible to become one. Never let people tell you, you can't do something. It doesn't matter if you come from a town of about 100 people like me or a huge city like Los Angeles. What matters is how much drive and determination you have within yourself. You can do anything if you work hard enough to get it and put yourself out there. Don't be afraid of rejection, and if you get rejected, stay positive, and use it as a learning experience. Have confidence and believe in yourself, because if you don't, then no one else will either."
