When Dewey School paraprofessional and Lunchroom Accounting Clerk Connie Quigley walked into work this morning (Wednesday, Jan. 23), she couldn't find her comfortable office chair near the lunchroom ramp. In its place? A gently-used wheelchair, of course. Quigley turned 60 years old today, and her co-workers went all out to celebrate the occasion with her, hanging streamers, balloons, and banners; bringing in the new mode of transport and lounge seating; and piling her desk high with gifts, including a giant candy card. Quigley was a good sport, and used the wheelchair at her desk throughout the morning.
