Vernon Lee Johnson, 60, of Jameson, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Braymer, Mo.

He was born on April 5, 1952 in Higginsville, Mo., the son of Claude D. and Norma Jean Simkins Johnson.

He worked for Landmark Mfg. for 12 and a half years. Prior to that he was a truck driver for numerous companies.

Survivors include two sons, William D Johnson and wife Melissa, Columbia, Mo., and Collin Yetter, Cameron, Mo.; three daughters, Rebecca Cosgrove and husband Jeremy, Braymer, Mo., Krystal Anderson and husband Randy, Ludlow, Mo., Rachelle Johnson, Ludlow, Mo.; two brothers, Joe Johnson and Clarence Johnson Freemont, Neb.; four sisters, Claudia Caldwell, Chillicothe, Mo., Viola Maberry and husband Gary, Tina, Mo., Barbara Padilla, Vacaville, Calif., Lois Carranza and husband Bill, Springfield, Va.; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; half brother, Billy H Key, Jr.; sister-in-law, Sherry Key; niece, Christina Lynn Maberry and grandson, Daniel Cosgrove.

At his request there will be no visitation or funeral services.
