Weather balloon found in Wheeling

On Saturday, Jan. 26 the Livingston County Sheriff's Office investigated the report of an unusual item found on private property north of Wheeling.

The item was a weather balloon which had been released by the National Weather Service in Topeka, Kan., on Jan. 18, 2013. A photo appears on page 6 by Deputy Cooksey. The item is being returned to the NWS.
