About 800 eighth grade through senior high Chillicothe students and teachers watched the Kansas City Coterie Theatre’s production of “Tell-Tale Electric Poe” during a Thursday assembly at the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center. The two-man show featured works of Edgar Allen Poe with actor Hughston Walkinshaw (pictured) as Poe and Rex Hobart performing on multiple electric guitars. The Coterie, a professional Equity theatre, is among the top five theatres serving families and young audiences in the United States, according to TIME magazine. The assembly was sponsored by the Chillicothe Area Arts Council, and was funded by a local women’s group, Tria Sorosis.
