President Hayes signed bill allowing women to practice before US Supreme Court
Thanks to the tireless efforts of Belva Ann Bennett Lockwood, on February 15, 1879, President Rutherford B. Hayes signed into law a bill that allowed women to practice before the US Supreme Court.
