Meadville-Hale boys', Meadville-Norborne girls' Class 1 games postponed second time

One could safely assume Punxsatawney Phil can consider himself sacked.

"Old man winter" continues his recent, lopsided dominance of the Pennsylvania rodent as high school basketball action in the region remains on hold.

Following a third noteworthy snow (welcomed for its moisture content, if not it's confounding of mice and men's plans) in about a week, the Class 1 high school basketball state tournament games originally to be hosted by Chillicothe High School Tuesday night have been postponed a second time – to Thursday, at the same scheduled start times, Dan Nagel, CHS athletics director, notified the C-T via e-mail late Wednesday morning.

The all-Carroll-Livingston Activities Association schools slate – Meadville and Hale boys at 6 p.m. and Meadville vs. Norborne girls at 7:45 p.m. – will be played in the high school gym – eventually.

The admission price for fans, as set by the Missouri State High School Activities Association, will be $6.
