The Grand River Area Family YMCA is hosting its annual fundraiser for the Y-Pals mentoring program on Friday, April 12. “Back to the 80’s”, features local celebrity waiters, dinner, a new twist on the infamous desserts, and a brief live auction to add to the exciting evening in retro style.
Y-PALS Director and coordinator of the annual event, Sally Peterson says, “Celebrity waiters promise an evening in the past you won’t soon forget –enticing the audience with various ‘totally awesome’ retro talent.”
Guests will also be amused throughout the evening with 80’s music and maybe even a little singing and dancing entertainment. Peterson adds, “Numerous local volunteers are preparing their costumes for appearances including Steffi Harvey as Pat Benatar and Kelly Poling as Willard from Footloose. Certainly not an event you want to miss!”
This “Totally Righteous” event will be located at the Chillicothe Elks Lodge with social time beginning at 6 o’clock Friday, April 12. The dinner will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m.
