Chillicothe Street Superintendent Barry Arthur and Assistant Leroy Snidow place one of the four "StormReady" signs at each of the four main access points to the city today (Friday). Chillicothe was designated a StormReady city by the National Weather Service in December. The program, spearheaded by Chillicothe Fire Chief Darrell Wright, "helps arm America's communities with the communication and safety skills needed to save lives and property — before and during [major storm events]." The signs are located: near the China Garden restaurant (shown here), on Route V, to the west of the Chillicothe High School on Highway 190, and by Resthaven Cemetery, on the north end of town.
