The Chillicothe R-2 Board of Education will be leaving the R-2 administrative building at 10:45 a.m., tomorrow (Tuesday, March 26), for a special work session school food service tour of the Carrollton R-7 School District. While there, the board will be dining on the school district's lunch.
Orange-glazed chicken, chicken wrap, or homemade cheese pizza appear to be the choices on the menu for grades K-8, per the Carrollton R-7 website menu, while the high school has sausage or cheese pizza, hamburger and/or wrap, a selection from the school's Native American Adobe Grill bar, a crispy chicken salad, or an Asian entree up for selection.
Carrollton R-7 recently hired Southwest Foodservice Excellence, Scottsdale, Ariz., as their food service management company.
The Chillicothe R-2 board bid out for food service programs at their regular monthly meeting last Tuesday, March 19, due to cost. They are currently shopping available programs.
