The postponements and cancellations continue piling up for Chillicothe and area high schools.
Today's (March 26) entire slate of scheduled Chillicothe High School sports events in boys' golf and tennis, baseball, track-and-field, and soccer has been wiped out by the continued cold and remaining snow cover and poor playing surfaces.
Not only has today's schedule been erased, but Dan Nagel, the CHS athletics director, already announced last night that Wednesday's scheduled home baseball game already has been postponed, leaving the baseball Hornets still looking to play their first home game. That won't happen now until more than two weeks after their scheduled March 18 opener.
An area school also has announced cancellation of its scheduled baseball game tomorrow (Wednesday, March 27). The slated game between Mendon: Northwestern and Bevier will not be played, NHS athletics director Eric Hoyt has notified area media.
