The Missouri Department of Economic Development has awarded the North Missouri Center For Youth & Families more than $226,125 in Neighborhood Assistance Program Tax credits.

When sold, these credits will equal over $340,000 in funding for their efforts toward renovating the former Savage Grocery building into a comprehensive after-school facility.

These credits are available immediately, and are worth 70 percent of the donor's contribution off of state income tax from 2013 through 2018. Eligible donors include, but are not limited to, business owners, corporations, farmers, and rental property owners.

Anyone interested in acquiring these credits, or would like more information, may contact Daniel Savage, at 660-247-1703.

"We do not expect these credits to last long at such a high rate of return," Savage said.
