The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) today announced that two Chillicothe not-for-profit organizations have been approved for a total of $357,580 in state tax credits under the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP). The approved projects are part of approximately $6.6 million approved in the second round of NAP applications for FY 2013.
Livingston County Community Development Corporation has been approved for $131,455 in NAP tax credits. The Community Development Corporation will use NAP tax credits to fund its Main Street Chillicothe program. The program will promote downtown revitalization and economic development, improving the downtown environment through renovation of downtown properties, support of current downtown businesses, and solicitation of new businesses to the downtown.
The North Missouri Center for Youth & Families has been approved for $226,125 in NAP tax credits. The NAP tax credits will enable the Center to renovate a 10,000 square foot facility. Upon completion of the project, the new facility will provide an after-school program, a full day summer program, recreation space, and community meeting/rental space.
