The city of Chillicothe had its municipal election Tuesday, but because there were no contested races, the candidates whose names were on the ballot were elected.
The names of several individuals were written in on the ballots; however, it won’t be until after the Verification Board meets that the results will be known.
There were 49 write-in votes cast for attorney, and 30 for treasurer. No candidates had filed for those positions.
The names of several individuals were written in for other positions; however, because there were declared candidates for those positions, the write-in votes will not be counted, according to Livingston County Clerk Sherry Parks.
