Willard Alvin Silvey, 88, a resident of Hale, Mo., died Friday, April 5, 2013, at his residence.
Willard was born the son of Roy and Bernice (Crosby) Silvey on March 26, 1925, in Hale, Mo. He married Hildred Irene Stinson in 1948 in Hale, Mo. She preceded him in death.
He was a 1943 graduate of Hale High School. He worked as a farmer his whole life in Hale, Mo. He attended the Full Gospel Church, Hale, Mo. Willard enjoyed reading, and enjoyed working at Grand Oaks Assembly.
Survivors include one son, Lloyd Silvey and wife Netta, Hale, Mo.; two sisters, Veda Wilson and husband Junior, Hale, Mo., and Norma Damon, Arnold, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Hildred; one son Leonard Silvey; and one brother-in-law, Robert Damon.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Mo., on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Mo., on Monday, April 8, 2013, from 12 until 8 p.m. Burial will be held at the Cameron Cemetery, Hale, Mo.
