    Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Mo., on Friday, April 12, 2013, at 10 a.m.

  • Maisie Ellison, 85, a resident of Chillicothe, Mo., died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Indian Hills Retirement Village, Chillicothe, Mo.
    Maisie was born the daughter of Samuel and Martha (Vandruff) Foust on Oct. 14, 1927, in Okmulgee, Okla. She married James Harold Ellison in 1946 in Oklahoma City, Okla. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1991.
    She graduated in 1945 from Oklahoma City High School, Oklahoma City, Okla.  For the past nine years Maisie made Indian Hills Retirement Village her home. While living there she had developed many close relationships with the staff.
    Survivors include two daughters, Margie Albertson and husband Denny, Chillicothe, Mo., and Judee Carr, Lawson, Mo.; four sons, Thomas Ellison, Gladstone, Mo., Christopher Ellison, Gladstone, Mo., Michael Ellison, Bonner Springs, Kan., and Pat Ellison and wife Cathy, Republic, Mo.; one son-in-law, Steve Gastineau, Celina, Texas; 17 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one daughter, Jean Gastineau; one son James Ellison Jr.; one brother John Foust; and one granddaughter, Laura Carr.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Columban’s Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Mo., on Friday, April 12, 2013, at 10 a.m. A parish rosary will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo., on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at 6 p.m. with a visitation to follow. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday from 12 until 8 p.m. Burial will be held at St. Columban’s Catholic Cemetery, Chillicothe, Mo.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601. Online condolences may be made at www.lindeyfuneralhome.com.
