  • (April 18, 2013) » Despite yesterday's and last night's 3-plus inches of rain in Chillicothe, the annual Chillicothe Invitational high school boys' golf tournament is being played today at Green Hills Golf Course.
Besides the Hornets, 12 teams are competing – Brookfield, Trenton, Cameron, St. Joseph: Bishop LeBlond, St. Joseph: Benton, Savannah, Smithville, Macon, Lathrop, Lawson, Orrick, and Kansas City: Pembroke Hill.
The rest of the slated CHS sports schedule for the day has been washed out.
The boys' tennis match at Savannah has been postponed to April 26 and will be a varsity match only, beginning at 4 p.m.
The varsity baseball Hornets' finale in the Pony Express Tournament at St. Joseph tonight has been postponed to Friday, still at 6:30 p.m. and still at the Bartlett Park field.
Today's freshman baseball Hornets' home game vs. Cameron has been postponed until April 29.
Friday's JV baseball action vs. Meadville at Shaffer Park already has been called off, as well.  It might not be rescheduled.  The jayvees were rained out of a home doubleheader with Mendon: Northwestern yesterday (Wednesday), as well.
