  • Floodwater covered much of the low-lying land south of Chillicothe, and came within a few inches of coming onto U.S. Highway 65. The Missouri Department of Transportation stated that water came up onto the shoulder of Highway 65 south of town, but the highway remained open. The Grand River topped out at 35.77 feet at 5 a.m. Saturday morning, making it the 6th largest flood on the Grand River at Chillicothe. Flood stage is 24 feet.
