  • Police collect 40 pounds of medication in drug take back operations

  • Members of the Chillicothe Police Department and C2000 conducted two drug take back operations recently and collected 40 pounds of prescription and non-prescription medications for disposal.

  • Members of the Chillicothe Police Department and C2000 conducted two drug take back operations recently and collected 40 pounds of prescription and non-prescription medications for disposal.
     On Thursday, officers were present at the Senior Center from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., and on Monday of this week, officers were present at Hometown Pharmacy from 2 until 5 p.m. In addition to collecting the medications at these two collection sites, officers also responded to multiple residences and collected medication from citizens that are not capable of leaving their home.
    The police department extends appreciation to the Senior Center and Hometown Pharmacy for use of their facilities.
     Chillicothe citizens can drop off medications at any time to the Chillicothe Police Department for disposal. This service is free of charge.
