A fund-raising dinner has been planned for Shayler Keller, a Chillicothe High school freshman who was injured in a burn accident on April 27 and will be spending a month or so in the KU Burn Center.
Shayler is a member of the St. Columban Columbian Squires, which is the official youth group for the Knights of Columbus. His fellow Squires will be having a fundraiser dinner for him at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, at Bishop Hogan School. The dinner will include southern fried pork chops, mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans along with a dessert all prepared by Jeff Frampton, of Hy-Vee, with table service provided by the Columbian Squires.
Cost is $8 per person and additional donations can be made when purchasing a ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the Chillicothe Hy-Vee customer service desk beginning today (Thursday). There will also be some other activities with the dinner to help with the fundraising effort. All proceeds will go to assist with expenses related to Shayler’s accident and recovery.
