  • Jerry Quinn Head, 78, a resident of Chillicothe, Mo., died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at his residence.
    Jerry was born the son of Troy Haden and Verdie (Hoskins) Head on Oct. 19, 1934, in Cora, Mo. Jerry  married to Nancy Jo Keithley on Nov. 2, 1974, in Chillicothe, Mo. She survives of the home.
    He was a 1953 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked for Midland Brick and Tile Plant in Utica, Mo., and the Chillicothe Housing Authority. He later retired from Chillicothe Municipal Utilities. Jerry was a member of the Chillicothe Boat Club. He enjoyed fishing, mud racing, and tinkering in his garage.
    Survivors include his wife Nancy of the home; three sons, Morgan “Alan” Head and wife Amber, Chillicothe, Mo., Buddy Meyers and wife Becky, Wheeling, Mo., and Lonnie Head and wife Julie, Chillicothe, Mo.; two daughters, Sherry Shockey and husband Mark, Chillicothe, Mo., and Lynn Huncovsky and husband Lyle, Salina, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Bonnie Davis, Chillicothe, Mo., Dixie Seaman and husband Stanley, Chillicothe, Mo., Rose Danner and husband Gilbert, Chillicothe, Mo., and Mary Mammen and husband David, Sr., Chillicothe, Mo.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Loren Head; three brothers, Gail Head, J.D. Head, and Bill Head; and two sisters, Ramah Stith and Sharin Adams.
    Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo., on Monday, May 20, 2013, at 10 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo., on Sunday, May 19, 2013, from 12 until 6 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Mo.
