Leland Grozinger, 85, a resident of Chillicothe, Mo., died Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at his residence.
Leland was born the son of George Edward and Bessie Bell (Marriott) Grozinger on Nov. 7, 1927, in Dawn, Mo. Leland Married Mary Helen Key on Aug. 1, 1952 in Carrollton, Mo.
Leland served in the United States Army during World War II. He farmed the family farm in Dawn, Mo., and worked at the Donaldson’s Company in Chillicothe, Mo., for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen Grozinger, Chillicothe, Mo.; one son, Jim Grozinger and wife Paula, Wheeling, Mo.; two grandchildren, Kimberly Marshall and husband Jeff Marshall, Chillicothe, Mo., and Brett Grozinger, Wheeling, Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Adler and Abby Marshall, Chillicothe, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Raymond Grozinger and Lawrence Grozinger; two sisters, Gladys Thomas and Neva Thompson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo. There will be a scheduled family visitation on Friday from noon until service time. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo., on Thursday, May 23, 2013, from 12 until 5 p.m. Burial will be held at Blue Mound Cemetery.
