The Chillicothe City Council will hold their next regular meeting on Tuesday evening. The date was changed at the last council meeting to move the regular session to Tuesday instead of Monday (which is the typical meeting day) for the Memorial Day holiday.
Councilman At Large David Moore will lead a discussing regarding the changing of Polk Street from Washington to Broadway into a two-way street.
The board will hear a request from City Administrator Ike Holland to use the Leeper lot and the City Hall parking lot for the Sliced Bread Jam Bluegrass Festival on June 15. The board will also hear a request from Brian Donath regarding sewer connection to his property.
Street Commissioner Barry Arthur will be on hand for a discussion and ordinance regarding the placement of two new yield signs in the city. These signs would be located on the southwest corner of Oaklawn as it intersects with Ridgecrest Drive and the southwest corner of McVey as it intersects with Eleventh Street.
A public hearing is scheduled to consider an ordinance to re-zone a property in the Youssef Subdivision from residential to commercial.
The meeting of the Chillicothe City Council is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 28 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. The council will meet prior to the regular session at 5 p.m. for a site visit and workshop at the Chilli Bay Water Park construction site at Simpson Park.
