  • Dump truck bids, adult day care on council agenda

  • The Chillicothe City Council will meet for its regular meeting tonight (Monday).
    A variety of topics are scheduled for discussion at the meeting, including the discussion and ordinance accepting a bid for a city dump truck. Norma Shoop will lead a discussion regarding wheelchairs on city streets. Chuck Greever will appear to lead discussion and present an ordinance regarding a conditional use permit for an adult day care at 1115 2nd Street, as well as discussion and ordinance regarding a conditional use permit for a car lot at 1211 N. Washington Street.
    Police Chief Rick Knouse will be on hand for discussion regarding a request for an additional full-time dispatcher. The council will discuss previous towing bids.
    The council will hear comments from City Administrator Ike Holland regarding a proposed railroad project. Mayor Chuck Haney will present a Main Street award to the Parks Department.
    The council will meet at 6:30 p.m. this evening (Monday) in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. The meeting is open to the public.
    Prior to the meeting, at 5 p.m., council members will make a site and have a workshop meeting at the hospital construction site.
