LOOK 4 TREASURES, the 2013 Children’s Public Library Summer Reading Program will feature pharaohs this week, Wednesday, June 19, with an emphasis on Egyptology and Pyramids. Storytime will be at 10 a.m., and the craft program for children eight through 12 years of age will be at 10:30 a.m.
There were 204 readers registered for the Independent Reading Program and they have reported reading 784 books. The pennies for weeks one and two were donated in honor of Mrs. Riekena.
Week No. 2 programs held on Wednesday, June 12, and were attended by 75 children and 40 adults. Each child received a dinosaur purchased for them with the Irene Higgins Memorial Fund.
