  • The Livingston County Senior Citizens Service Fund board of directors had its organizational meeting Wednesday at the county courthouse and elected officers.
Officers for the newly-created board are Tim Bosler (chairman), Harry Wyse (vice chairman), Darla Macoubrie (secretary), and Suzi Beck (treasurer). Other board members are Dale Arnold, Frank Etzenhauser and Kathryn Ratliff.
Livingston County voters approved the fund’s establishment in April, supporting a 5-cent tax levy per $100 assessed valuation for programs that improve the health, nutrition and quality of life for people 60 years of age and older.
The Livingston County Commission appoints the board members. On Wednesday, the commission set term expirations so that the seven-member board will have staggered terms. Bosler’s term expires next year. Terms for Arnold and Beck expire in 2015, for Wyse and Ratliff in 2016, and for Etzenhauser and Macoubrie, in 2017.
The board’s next meeting is Wednesday, July 10, in the commissioner’s room at the county courthouse. The board anticipates adopting bylaws in the near future and establishing application forms as well as the procedures for entities requesting money fund money. The fund is expected to generate around $78,000 annually, Bosler said.
