Wednesday, July 17, will be "Business Day" at the Livingston County Fair, starting at 3 p.m.
Business vendors will be set up in the Mildred Litton Community Center and in the Jenkins Building, and will last until 8 p.m. Fair goers will be able to view and purchase products from the local businesses that will have tables at the event. The Livingston County Health Center will also give T-DAP boosters. Each business will have an attendance prize to give away on Wednesday. Outside equipment booths will also be set up.
4-H youth will also be demonstrating their projects from 3 until 7:20 p.m. Demonstrations will include rabbit showmanship, food demonstrations, duct tape creations and interpretative speaking. Ten 4-H entrepreneurs will showcase their business endeavors at the 4-H Entrepreneurship Market in the Mildred Litton 4-H/FFA Community Center from 3 until 8 p.m. as well. Garden produce, assorted jewelry, magnets and neck coolers are a few of the products that will be shown at the market.
Also at the fair on Wednesday will be the swine show at 1 p.m. All animals must arrive at the fair grounds by 11 a.m. The Talent Show will be Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. Many of the prizes for talent show have been sponsored by local businesses.
Today (Monday) the Missouri Department of Conservation and Livingston County Soil and Water District were planning a fishing night at the Litton pond for 4-H and FFA exhibitors. Watermelon was to be served.
