Adjustable lamp provides ample illumination for projects

Even though Club member Judy Payton of Pasadena, Maryland, had a well-lit shop, there were times when detailed work demanded more illumination than the overhead lights could provide. To solve the problem, she drilled holes along the perimeter of her workbench to serve as mounting points for a swing-arm lamp and magnifier. Whenever she needs more light or a closer look, she inserts the fixtures into the holes. Judy points out that if your workbench has existing holes for bench dogs, you could just as easily use those as mounting points and forgo the drilling.
