The Chillicothe City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. tonight (Monday) at the Council Chambers at City Hall.
There will be a discussion over a bid for two new code enforcement vehicles and a bid for two new police vehicles, and ordinances will be voted on for each.
The speed limit on Missouri Route 190 will be discussed and established. The council discussed at their last meeting on Monday, Aug. 12, extending the 35 mile per hour speed limit on Highway 190 to 600 feet west of Hornet Drive. Since the flashing yellow light has been installed at the Highway 190 and Hornet Drive intersection, traffic flow has changed. The council discussed that keeping the 35 mph speed limit until 600 feet west of Hornet Drive may create safer driving conditions. Because this speed limit change is within city limits, all that is required to do this is an ordinance passed by the council, as well as payment for signs warning of the speed limit change.
Also on the council’s agenda are discussions on a sidewalk improvement agreement with MoDOT and a grant agreement for the Rehab Runway 14-32 Parallel Taxiway. Ordinances for each will be voted on as well.
The meeting will then move into an executive session to discuss litigation, real estate and personnel matters.
