Whether they floated, slid, splashed, jumped or swam, more than 1,000 people found cool relief at Chilli Bay Water Park over the weekend, as temperatures reached into the mid-90s. Saturday’s attendance was 481 and Sunday’s attendance reached 572, to produce a total attendance of 1,053. The temperature reached 94 degrees both days. The water park will be open only next Saturday, Sunday and Monday (Labor Day). The season will close with its first-ever Doggie Dip on Monday, Sept. 2, from 6 until 7 p.m. During this time, individuals will be able to bring their dogs and swim together. Admission will be $5 for each individual.
