Call Harrison Rice a one-man team – literally.
Rice, Van Horn's lone swimmer so far, finished 10th in the 100-yard breaststroke and 12th in the 50 freestyle to give the Falcons their first boys swimming and diving score in at least more than 30 years in a four-team meet Wednesday at Henley Aquatic Center.
In the team scores, Truman defeated Van Horn 163-6 and Warrensburg 126-98 but lost 140-126 to Lee’s Summit. Van Horn also lost 192-10 to Lee’s Summit and 147-7 to Warrensburg.
Rice finished the 100 breaststroke in 1 minute, 33.01 seconds, and the 50 freestyle in 31.62 seconds.
