Acclaimed speaker, HR expert and author Dr. Steve Cohen will be in Chillicothe to share his knowledge at two different events on Wednesday, Sept. 18 – at the Chamber Luncheon and at a separate seminar that same afternoon.
At the Chamber luncheon, Dr. Cohen’s topic will be aimed at employees – how to be engaged, involved and a team player. This half-hour presentation will be held at the Chillicothe Country Club as a part of the regular monthly Chamber luncheon from noon until 1 p.m.
“This offers managers and owners a great educational opportunity to share with their employees by bringing them to this luncheon and presentation,” said Chamber director Lindy Chapman.
The cost is $9 per person.
That same day, from 3 until 5 p.m. at the Comfort Inn & Suites, Dr. Cohen will present a seminar geared for department managers, company managers and owners. This two-hour seminar will focus on how to set a positive organizational climate, how to get the most from your employees, how to set policy to best benefit your company or business, how to coach your current staff and hire employees who will improve the culture of your business, and more.
Dr. Cohen has more than 35 years of specialized experience safeguarding businesses and nonprofit agencies with staff sizes that range from 2 to 17,000 employees. He is the author of the recently published book “Mess Management: Lessons from a Corporate Hit Man” and hosts a weekly radio program in Kansas City, called “The Exchange” which features topics and guests from the business world.
The cost for the seminar is $10 for members of the Chamber or Main Street, $20 for all others.
